    Conjunction

“A conjunction is where two energies stand so close they become one voice in the sky — a single force speaking with a doubled intensity.”

    Overview

A conjunction forms when two points in the sky — most often planets, though luminaries like the Sun and Moon and bodies like Chiron and Lilith count too — sit at the same place, within about six degrees and the same zodiac sign. From Earth they appear to move together, and their energies blend into one united current. Honored, a conjunction concentrates power: two functions of the soul learning to act as one. But not every pairing flows easily — some energies cooperate, others chafe, depending entirely on what they are. The gift here is focus; the work is letting these joined forces find a direction they can travel together.

01What is a conjunction aspect in astrology?

A conjunction describes two separate points in the solar system that draw together and blend their energies. Usually these are planets, but they can also be luminaries and other sacred bodies — and though the Sun and Moon aren't planets, astrology counts them as such. From Earth, conjunct points appear to move as one: zero degrees apart, give or take six, within the same zodiac sign. Once merged, they act as a single united force.
