The The Beam Archetype
The Beam is the archetype of the protector-elder — the star of wisdom, moral seriousness, and the impulse to shelter others from harm they may not yet see coming. It carries a sense of responsibility that extends beyond the self into family, community, and principle. Its gift is guidance and steadiness; its shadow is martyrdom, taking on weight that was never meant to be theirs and bearing it in silence.
