Overview
You're caught, and forward motion has stopped. The stillness isn't failure — it's the angle change that shows you what all that pushing was hiding.
Meaning
Upright
You're caught in something—maybe by choice, maybe by circumstance—that stops forward motion. Instead of reading this as failure, the card asks what becomes visible only when you stop struggling. A relationship stalled. A problem unsolved. A choice unmade. But the stillness itself is the answer: you've been fighting the wrong angle. The surrender isn't permanent; it's the pause that lets you see the way through. Patience shows you what effort was obscuring.
Reversed
You're resisting the pause, still straining against what you can't change, or you've become so resigned that you're not even trying anymore. A delay has turned into paralysis. You're stuck because you haven't released what you're gripping, or you're gripping nothing at all and calling it wisdom. Either way, you're not moving.
